For organisations
Private
Programmes.
Practical training built around the decisions your team needs to make.
By enquiry
Discuss a private programmeThe purpose
of the programme.
Commission a focused workshop or team simulation around a specific capability. Start with the decisions your colleagues face, agree what they need to demonstrate and review their performance in a realistic exercise.
Leadership, legal, risk and security teams can practise gathering information, testing claims and making a joint recommendation. Each programme uses fictional or appropriately sanitised material, with learning objectives and review criteria agreed before delivery.
The scoping conversation establishes objectives, delivery constraints and confidentiality arrangements. A short outline is sufficient for an initial enquiry; sensitive material can be discussed once handling arrangements are agreed.
Who it is for
- Leadership and investment teams assessing counterparties, proposals or uncertain commercial claims.
- Legal, risk and compliance teams developing a shared method for evaluating evidence.
- Security and investigation teams practising coordinated enquiries and clear briefings.
Nominate a programme contact and identify the decision or capability you want the team to practise. We agree the roles, learning objectives, permitted material, review criteria and delivery arrangements before booking.
What you will practise
- Apply a shared method for identifying and checking the claims that matter to a decision.
- Distinguish verified identity and authority from a persuasive digital presentation.
- Document the team's reasoning and update a recommendation when new evidence arrives.
- Leave with a reviewed team output and specific actions to improve the working method.
Choose the
capability to develop.
Select the brief that matches your team's objectives. The agreed programme may focus on one capability or combine selected elements.
- 01
Assess a counterparty
Examine a prospective partner's ownership, claimed experience and references. Decide which gaps matter, what must be independently verified and which conditions would support a commitment.
Practical output A documented recommendation and a prioritised list of outstanding checks.
- 02
Verify identity and authority
Respond to an urgent message claiming executive authority and an unverified adviser identity. Practise independent confirmation, appropriate escalation and a clear record of the decision.
Practical output A verified decision pathway and a concise incident or source note.
- 03
Decide under uncertainty
Assess a commercial proposal as conflicting records and source accounts arrive in stages. Compare explanations, challenge assumptions and update the team's recommendation.
Practical output An evidence-led decision brief showing what changed and why.
The method
behind the work.
The selected methods follow the agreed team task. The proposal identifies the relevant principles, exercises and observable review criteria.
- 01
Assessment for a shared decision
Selected PHIA analytical principles
For assessment exercises, make assumptions explicit, test alternative explanations and record the effect of new information on the team's recommendation.
In practiceAn initial decision, a revised brief and a facilitated review.
- 02
Verification appropriate to the task
Berkeley principles and structured enquiry
For documentary research, apply selected preservation and verification principles. Where source conversations are included, use an adapted PEACE structure. The proposal confirms which elements are taught.
In practiceAn agreed evidence trail, source note or verification decision record.
A private programme covers the capabilities specified in its proposal. Referenced methods are selected and adapted for that task; inclusion of every framework is not assumed. Black Chamber is independently developed by ROSSAD. We adapt selected principles to controlled training exercises. The referenced organisations do not accredit or endorse our programmes.
How the learning works
- 01
Agree an observable objective
Define the capability, participant roles and review criteria in the proposal. Record an initial decision before the exercise.
- 02
Practise as a team
Work through a tailored scenario while the facilitator observes questions, verification decisions and handovers.
- 03
Review the change
Compare the initial and final outputs, identify specific improvements and agree which follow-up actions belong to the team.
How the methods become practical skills
Learning objectives, exercises and review criteria are linked. Demonstrations lead into practice, specific feedback and a further attempt or revision appropriate to the programme.

The practical assignment
A team decision
you can defend.
In one illustrative exercise, a team receives an urgent request to release a supplier information pack to a new address. Participants must establish the requester's identity and authority, decide what can be shared and document the handover. Other briefs examine counterparty evidence or changing assessments. The selected scenario and outputs are agreed before delivery.
How your work is reviewed
The proposal defines what the team must demonstrate and how it will be observed. Review compares the initial and final decisions, the quality of verification and the clarity of the handovers. Feedback identifies specific strengths and improvements, with any follow-up session or support agreed separately.
What the review considers
- Questions and checks address the agreed business decision.
- The team verifies material claims, establishes relevant identity and authority, and responds proportionately.
- Responsibilities, information handling and decision records are clear.
- The recommendation reflects contrary or newly introduced evidence.
- The debrief produces specific, practical improvement actions.
Further development
A private programme may be followed by a further exercise or a review of the team's working method, where agreed. Individual participants can also explore a focused workshop or the ROSSAD Operator Programme according to their objectives.
AI and digital material
AI, used
with judgement.
AI use and synthetic-content scenarios are selected according to the training brief and your organisation's policies.
- Practise recognising when a persuasive digital identity or apparent authority needs independent confirmation.
- Where AI-assisted research is included, require a source trail and a record of the tool's contribution.
- Agree permitted services, material and retention arrangements before the exercise. An AI tool's output remains subject to review.
Where AI-assisted research is included, selected NIST risks inform the agreed checks and handling arrangements.
